Long-day plant

This is a picture of clover. Clover is a long-day plant. Long-day plants are plants that bloom after they are exposed to light periods more than a censorious length. A good example of censorious length is summer. Clover develops as the daylight hours expand, making it a long-day plant. Clovers assist many ecosystems by balancing the nitrogen in the soil, helping other plants grow.
